Welcome to Cynthia Shaver Asian Art Appraiser Newsletter October 2023,

Hello.  Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter.  Our time is precious, so many different options.  I appreciate you reading my newsletter.

The month of September I researched Korean porcelain and bronze.  My scope of work on a recent assignment included 73 properties, 30% unpacked for first time since 1966 according to the San Francisco Chronicle paper used for wrapping.  This was like an intense graduate study in Korean, Buncheong ceramics, as well as celadon wares.  Of course, I went to the Asian Art Museum several times to just study and stare at the collection of Korean porcelain.  My most helpful resource was a book in Chinese, IMPORTANT KOREAN NATIONAL TREASURES.

What a fun, full of learning month I had.

Best regards, Cynthia
