The most interesting appraisal last month involved a mystery textile that I’m still researching. The textile is quite large, (think European tapestry), Japanese in origin dating to very early 1900’s, woven with wool thread, and a very European theme almost biblical (Trinity?) and bordered with very fine Japanese brocade silk. Sorry I can attach no photo, but I have seen limited wool Japanese tapestries made before 1950.
