Welcome to Cynthia Shaver Asian Art Appraiser Newsletter March 2022,

So much happening in the world today. My Instagram account was hacked with different Username. Have spent over one month trying to correct. If you go to my website, https://cynthiashaver.com, and click on the Instagram logo, ‘who knows what you’ll find…’

The month of March is taken up with one very large and fun project. I’m writing descriptions of Japanese textiles that date from 1900-1960, and find I’m learning about history of the airplane, and trains and skyscrapers. I learned the first skyscraper was built in Chicago in late 1800’s and was seven stories tall, followed by one in St Louise and then New York. Famous historical landmarks are also prominently featured such as the Eiffel Tower.

I also did an ’As told to’ interview with insider.com: https://www.businessinsider.com/70-year-old-art-appraiser-multiple-sclerosis-pandemic-work-easier
This was a steep, six week learning curve with yet a new editor, answering bullet point questions. As I explained, my ‘office appointments’ are virtual now and my wheelchair disappears.

Please be well,

Cynthia
