For the last few weeks, my professional colleague and friend Noriko Miyamoto has stayed with my husband and I. This joyful event spurred a photo-journal of our four decade friendship, all starting while resting on a rock together at a flea market in Kyoto. We have shared our lives, the ups and downs, the dreams, and a book, HANTEN AND HAPPI. The underlying common denominator was and always will be, a love of textiles.
